The AI alarm bells are ringing

The last few weeks, DC Republicans have loved touting and talking about all they've done to help the American people.

I don't know what alternate reality these slackers are living in, but all I see is them ignoring hungry kids, injured veterans, underpaid workers, ailing seniors, and struggling farmers to subsidize billion-dollar tech companies chasing dangerously powerful AI systems.

I'll never shy away from putting people over progress. Can I count on you to donate to help send me back to Congress? Last time I checked, elected officials are supposed to fight to improve the lives of people, not let tech corporations run wild. We need to pump the brakes on the AI arms race so we can put safeguards in place to protect the environment and our communities. Even some of the nation's leading AI companies agree that there must be a slowed-down pace of development.

This is what Congress SHOULD be doing.

However, Mike Johnson and congressional Republicans would rather kick the can down the road so they can leave early for vacation.

When it comes to something this consequential and potentially dangerous as AI, we can't just figure out regulations later while Big Tech steamrolls forward. We need action and a regulatory strategy that doesn't kick folks to the side.
