Over 7,000 farms have been waiting
In 2023, historic flooding hit our Commonwealth and left many questioning how they'd rebuild. After the flooding, I saw firsthand the scale of the destruction that leveled our homes, washed away cars, and impacted our children's schools.
So, I did what I could to help.
After setbacks and partisan bureaucracy, $42 million in federal disaster relief funding is finally on its way to help our farmers recover and strengthen the regional food systems that feed families across the Commonwealth. This funding comes from a $220 million New England disaster block grant program I co-wrote with Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro.
Because it didn't include any backdoor handouts for Trump's cadre of crooked clowns, it didn't come easily. Congresswoman DeLauro and I had to fight the Trump Administration to comply with the law and release the funds.
This is a win for Massachusetts and for the nearly 7,100 farms devastated by flooding since 2023.
When you work in the best interest of your community, this is what's possible. We're in the home stretch of my reelection campaign. Can I count on you to donate whatever you can to help me return to Congress and keep delivering for Massachusetts?
More soon,
