If this sounds like a pile of garbage, that’s because it is.

I'm pissed off – today marks the anniversary of the establishment of Medicare and Medicaid. We all should be celebrating the monumental anniversary and lauding the progress we've made with accessible and affordable health care.

That's what we should be doing...

But for many of us, we're lamenting the largest ever cut to health care programs in American history. If this sounds like a pile of garbage, that's because it is — and it's all thanks to Trump and his Republican MAGA puppets' trillion-dollar cuts brought to you by the Big Ugly Bill (aka one of the most backward pieces of legislation I've ever seen).

Americans need more access to health care, not less — please consider chipping in to my re-election campaign to help me right this predictable wrong and take a much-needed step towards rebuilding a health care system built to serve the American people.

The establishment of Medicare and Medicaid all those years ago resulted in millions of Americans receiving desperately needed medical coverage, which led to improved health outcomes, public health, economic security, and advanced equity and social justice.

How heartless and tone deaf do you have to be to deliberately make America sicker and less safe? While Trump's cadre of bootlickers may disagree, it's really not that crazy to think people should have access to quality health care that doesn't leave them in financial ruin.

If you agree, please help me close out this end-of-month deadline as strong as possible by donating to my grassroots campaign.

You deserve a representative who'll fight to their last breath to improve your life by reinvesting in our medical system and life-saving health programs, not to make it unimaginably worse.

We have the power to make this right this November. Millions of people are counting on us to win and restore their health care, and I've got no interest in letting them down.

With you in the fight,

Jim
