How much is the ballroom now???

The contractor building Trump's gaudy ballroom just confirmed that — in direct contradiction to Trump — taxpayers (you) are paying for it after all.

How much are we on the hook for?

$300 million.

How'd we get to that number? If you recall, Trump said the entire project would only cost $200 million. Then he said it would be no more than $300 million. Then it was $400 million. THEN on March 31, Trump said, "This is taxpayer-free. We have no taxpayer putting up 10 cents."

Well, add another lie to Trump's mile-long list of BS. The ballroom will cost over $600 million, with taxpayers paying for half of it. That's according to the White House, so who knows if that's the final number.

American taxpayers shouldn't have to pay for another useless vanity project. Your tax dollars should work for you — not against you — to help ensure that everyone in this country can put food on the table, gas in the tank, and live comfortably with a roof over their head.

I'm running for reelection to hold Trump accountable because I'm sick of this. When Congress is independent, we can hold the White House accountable, we can spend money on things that matter to people, and we can finally end the corruption coming out of this administration.

But to do that, we need the resources to win, and I need your help. Please chip in $3 today so we can win in November, take back the House, and finally hold Trump accountable.

Let's elect ourselves out of this nonsense,

Jim
