Trump’s Iranniversary
Eight years ago today, Trump decided that President Obama's Iran Deal just wasn't good enough for him, and he wanted a better deal. I don't have a problem with getting a better deal. But I do have a problem with getting ripped off. And boy, did Trump and every American who's now paying the price get ripped off.
This is the equivalent of Trump selling a house in 2018. Then, claiming he's getting a good deal on it, buying it back for 10 times what he sold it for. Then, trying to bulldoze it, all while posting on social media that Kamala would've done it worse.
Instead of the structured, process-based agreement that President Obama brokered with Iran, which substantively decreased the amount of enriched uranium Iran had access to, we're at war. We're spending billions of dollars to try to fix a mess Trump created out of thin air.
This war, by the way, is illegal, unconstitutional, and Congress SHOULD be holding him accountable. Speaker Johnson isn't. Senate Majority Leader John Thune isn't. Not a single Republican is working to hold Trump accountable for his manufactured war in the Middle East.
So we have to.
But we can't unless we win in November. I'm ready to hold Trump accountable. There are Democrats across this country, running in competitive seats, who are ready to hold Trump accountable.
Help us take back the house. Chip in $3 today. End the war. Hold him accountable.
Onward,
Jim
