I know what's happening in this country. The people I represent know it too. We don't need a scripted speech to tell us what we can see with our own eyes.
But not watching yesterday doesn't mean tuning out today.
I'll still be paying attention. And when the next set of lies comes — which it will — I'll be calling them out. That's my job. That's my responsibility. And frankly, it's what this moment demands from all of us.
Donald Trump and his Republican cronies are pushing the limits of executive power, attacking the Constitution, and testing whether anyone will stand up and say enough. Too many people in Washington are willing to look the other way. I'm not one of them.
We all have a responsibility right now — not just members of Congress — to speak up when the truth is twisted, and our democracy is put at risk. That's how this country works. That's how we protect it. Will you chip in tonight to help support this fight?
You didn't see me enduring the lies on TV last night. But you will see me fighting today, tomorrow, and every day after, to hold this administration accountable and defend the Constitution we all swore to protect.
You'll continue to hear from me because I intend to stay at the forefront of calling out Donald Trump and his allies whenever they lie to the American people or attack the foundations of our democracy.
That's not politics.
It's my duty,
