This Presidents’ Day, let’s check in on some of Trump’s promises
Many people have today off work, and I hope those who do are enjoying it. But I'm not celebrating our president this Presidents' Day.
I'm sure you can figure out why, but here are a few examples that come to mind.
Donald Trump's DHS/ICE/CBP is so out of control that even some Republicans are refusing to fund it without reforms.
Donald Trump sent $40 billion to Argentina and then told us there was no money to put towards keeping people's healthcare costs down.
Donald Trump didn't want people to read the fact that he is the star of the Epstein files, so instead he bombed Venezuela and kidnapped their leader so he could sell access to Venezuelan oil for his CEO buddies.
Oh, and by the way, just from the files that have been released — a fraction of the full list of documents — Donald Trump's name is mentioned in the Epstein files more times than Harry Potter's name is mentioned in all 7 Harry Potter books.
But remember when he said he'd bring prices down on the first day of his administration? Let's check in on some of that work:
Housing prices? Up.
Grocery prices? Up.
Energy prices? Up.
Gas prices? Up.
There's nothing here to celebrate. But there is something we can do about it.
Join me, let's use this Presidents' Day to hold this president accountable. Pitch in $3 to my campaign today, help me keep up the drumbeat to hold Trump and his entire lawless administration accountable for every failed, horrible, no good policy and action they've taken.
Let's take back the House and stop whatever horrible policy is next on his agenda.
Together, onward,
Jim
