To say that Washington, D.C. is a clown show under far-right Republican control is doing a disservice to actual clowns.

Over the last year, MAGA Republicans managed to grind Congress to a halt with baseless investigations, chaotic leadership fights, and an agenda seemingly designed to make life harder for working families. They doubled down on attacking SNAP, threatened cuts to early childhood education, and pushed culture-war legislation while ignoring the real issues voters care about.

2025 only made the stakes clearer. We watched Republican leaders trip over themselves trying to defend Trump's legal crises, block bipartisan border and housing solutions, and then blame everyone else when their own chaos backfired. Instead of governing, they turned Congress into a stage for conspiracy theories and performative outrage.
