Working people > Corporate greed
Labor Day looks a little different this year.
I've never seen an administration that is more clearly and openly anti-worker than this one in my entire life.
Just about every one of the Trump administration's "accomplishments" since taking office has made workers poorer and less safe. They:
- gutted the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA),
- made it easier for corporations to fire workers who demand fair wages and safe working conditions
- changed overtime rules to make fewer workers eligible
American workers deserve better than leaders who will sell them out to corporations without hesitation. That's why I've taken the No Corporate PAC Pledge. We're better leaders when we're focused on the people we represent — not distractible by big corporate special interest groups and their dark money donations. That also means I have to rely on the support of people like you to fund my campaign by and for the people.
In addition to making you work harder for less, they've also passed massive tax cuts and giveaways for their corporate cronies, cuts to Medicaid that will cause 11 million Americans to lose their insurance, and engaged in reckless trade wars that have made the cost of living skyrocket.
We can't afford another day, let alone another 2 years of Republican control of Congress. We've got a chance in 2026 to flip the House and elect a pro-worker Democratic majority. But to do that, we need the resources to reach as many people as possible.
Yours in the fight,
Jim McGovern
