"This isn’t policy. It’s ego management."
Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans just rammed through their so-called "Big Beautiful Bill" — and Jim is not having it.
Jim laid it out plainly: "This isn't policy. It's ego management. This bill is a middle finger to millions of Americans. It isn't just a bad bill, it is the most dangerous piece of legislation in modern history. Dangerous because of the very real damage it will do to real people."
Then, he got to work sifting through the Senate's legislation with a fine-tooth comb. At 2:00 in the morning, there it was: a BIG mistake. One so glaring that MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell dedicated his segment on The Last Word to it, stating: "We've never seen anything like that in the House of Representatives — nothing that stupid in the House of Representatives."
It goes without saying that this error is just one symptom of the MAGA machine's incompetence and — what we're really concerned with here is the all-out cruelty in the legislation itself.
Beyond that mistake, here is just some of the damaging content in Trump's One Big Ugly Bill
❌ Slashes funding for food assistance programs like SNAP, even as grocery prices continue to skyrocket.
❌ Guts the Affordable Care Act, putting coverage for millions at risk.
❌ Gives massive tax breaks to billionaires and corporations, while middle-class families get left behind.
❌ Defunds environmental protections, worsening the climate crisis, and endangering public health.
❌ Undermines veterans' services and Medicaid, breaking promises to those who've served.
We don't need more ego-driven legislation from Donald Trump.
We need leaders with backbone and heart — and that's exactly what Jim brings to the table every single day. Jim is standing up to the MAGA extremists and fighting back against a bill that would devastate working families while padding the pockets of the ultra-wealthy and well-connected. Because that is who Jim is.
