Bad Bromance
In the latest episode of “As the Oligarchs Turn”, Elon Musk and Donald Trump have taken their bromance public — and it’s not pretty.
After Musk dared to call Trump’s "One Big Beautiful Bill" a “disgusting abomination,” Trump responded with his usual grace: by threatening to cancel federal contracts with Musk’s companies.
Not to be outdone, Musk hinted at decommissioning key SpaceX spacecraft, putting our space program in jeopardy.
Then Steve Bannon jumped in with a helpful suggestion to deport Musk and seize SpaceX, because apparently we’re doing 1776 cosplay now. Cute!
Look, we’re not saying we enjoy watching the billionaires who helped bankroll Trump’s rise now eat each other alive in public. But it’s no surprise that this crash-out was inevitable.
When you spend years enabling a wannabe authoritarian, don’t be shocked when he turns the flamethrower back on you. Reaping. Sowing. You know how it goes.
But while these two are busy swinging their egos around like wrecking balls, the real damage falls on working families — through slashed programs, broken promises, and a government hijacked for billionaire drama.
It's like watching a reality show where the prize is our country's future (or lack thereof).
That’s why we’re extra proud to be on Team McGovern this week. Jim will always fight for the folks who don’t have a rocket company — or a Truth Social login.
