More than 20 hours later...

For more than 20 hours on Wednesday – 1AM until 8:42PM – and more than 500 amendments, Jim led a fierce Democratic resistance in the Rules Committee to keep Republicans' Big, Beautiful Bloated, Barbaric Bill from reaching the floor.

Eventually, the Republicans squeezed out a one-vote margin and passed their budget – a manifesto of greed that takes trillions of dollars from our most vulnerable and hands it to some of the wealthiest people in history.

The bill is a disaster – one worth fighting against, and we're proud of Jim for the strength and grit he brought to those 20+ hours. And we know he's going to keep fighting for us.
