That is what this flag has come to mean

Last week it became public knowledge that Justice Samuel Alito had an "Appeal to Heaven" flag flying outside his Jersey Shore vacation home last summer. Any idea what that fringe right-wing flag stands for?

Carried by insurrections on January 6th and parroted by white supremacists, this flag has come to represent support for Donald Trump, a desire to undermine the separation of church and state, and the insidious lie that the 2020 election was "stolen."

Justice Alito is no different than the radical Republicans in Congress who want to ban abortion federally, deny women contraception, and turn back the clock on generations of progress. They even want to undermine the very fabric of our country by ignoring the will of the people and overturning the results of a free and fair election.

The Appeal to Heaven flag is just another symbol that represents hate, white nationalism, and the destruction of American freedom, and we cannot allow their radical movement to gain any power in our country.
