Let’s play “Donald Trump says”
Trump and his friends have seemingly been playing a game of "Simon Says."
First, twice impeached ex-President, Donald Trump remarks: "jump, friends. I bet you've got the greatest jumps this country has ever seen." They say, "how high?" While leaping into the air.
Next, Trump says: "vote, friends. But only for people personally loyal to me." So, of course, they spur hate and vitriol online and then line up at their polling places to vote against the so-called traitors.
Then Donald Trump says, "We fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore."
And, as you all know, an armed group of Donald Trump's supporters heard his call and then marched on Congress. They were determined to upend our free election so Trump could remain in power.
The story of 2024 cannot be about the return of Donald Trump or how his enablers in Congress have held onto power in spite of the chaos and extremism that are their new normal for America.
