Lousy judge, worse pharmacist.
For decades, anti-choice radicals have been playing doctor, believing that their desire to control women's bodies somehow gives them a medical degree.
Now that they've overturned Roe v. Wade, they've decided they want to be pharmacists, too.
Trump-appointed judge Matthew Kacsmaryk ruled last week to revoke the FDA's approval of mifepristone, a drug used in more than half of all abortions nationwide. In one fell swoop, he managed to set women's reproductive rights back decades.
Mifepristone has been proven safe and effective in over 100 peer-reviewed studies. It's safer than Tylenol and Viagra. Kacsmaryk's self-righteous ignorance puts the health and safety of countless women at risk.
This isn't just about mifepristone - it's about respect for medicine and basic human rights. Judges shouldn't second-guess (or, in this case, totally ignore) scientific consensus in order to impose their out-of-touch views on millions of women. What's next? Birth control? Aspirin?
We can't let anti-abortion extremists get away with this. We need to fight back, and we need to fight back hard.
Let's make our voices heard and show these anti-abortion extremists that we won't back down.
