Like it or not, abortion is on the ballot this November
Lindsey Graham is pushing for a nationwide abortion ban.
You read that right.
National. Abortion. Ban.
And that means in the dystopian future Republicans envision, abortion would be outlawed everywhere, including in Massachusetts. It's never been clearer: a vote for a Republican in November is a vote to ban abortion.
Republicans claimed their support of Dobbs was because "it put the decision back in the hands of the states." So much for that!
At least now, the anti-choice extremists are showing their true colors. They want to ban abortion nationwide. Make no mistake, if they get the majority, they will.
The bottom line is this is about freedom. Women deserve the freedom to make their own choices, and personal medical decisions should be between them, their families, and their doctors–not Lindsey Graham or any other politician.
We've fought hard here in Massachusetts to protect the right to an abortion, and Republicans don't just want to undo that process, they want to roll back the clock to a time when women had less freedom.
This dangerous bill is what right-wing Republicans are putting forth now when they don't have the majority. Imagine what they'll do if they gain even an inch in Congress. Their extreme agenda is wrong for America.
These right-wing Republican radicals don't have the people behind them. They know this. 8They just don't care.*
Here's the good news: The majority of Americans support safe and legal access to abortion care. That means that if we come together, we can protect abortion rights in Massachusetts and in all 50 states.
Like it or not, abortion is on the ballot this November. We must be ready.
