We aren’t going back
No American should ever be treated as less than equal, especially in the eyes of the law. Every loving couple has the right to marry.
The rights of people in the LGBTQ+ community aren't up for debate.
And yet, GOP leadership has been trying to undo decades of progress and take those rights away. Recently, and even more troubling, some members of the Supreme Court have actually encouraged right-wing extremists to challenge those rights.
Well, guess what? We aren't going back. Period. There's no room for compromise here.

I proudly supported the Respect for Marriage Act last month. I promise to continue this fight for equality for every American.
It won't be easy. Extremist Republicans are determined to undermine any protections for LGBTQ+ Americans. They even want to let schools refuse breakfasts & lunches to LGBTQ+ kids. With high rates of hunger among LGBTQ+ families, that is disgusting.
Our work will not be finished until every LGBTQ+ American knows they will never lose their job, home, or live in fear because of who they are and who they love.
LGBTQ+ Americans deserve better, and we will keep fighting for safety and equality.
