Sign if you agree: We must Expand the Supreme Court
Through corrupt Republican stunts, the Supreme Court has become unbalanced and partisan. Their recent decisions both defy the will of the American people and move our country in the wrong direction.
Their overturning of Roe v. Wade this summer stripped millions of Americans of their bodily autonomy. The Court gutted the Clean Air Act, made guns more accessible to people who will hurt others, and paved the way to use taxpayer dollars to fund religious schools.
For too long, Congressional Republicans have trampled the will of the American people, twisting the rules to stack the court with extremists.
That's a travesty. We don't have to let them get away with it.
Throughout American history, we have changed the number of seats on the Supreme Court to meet the moment. It's time we do it again. Sign my petition and tell Congress to expand the Supreme Court!**
We're likely to see even more terrible rulings next year, including on the right to marriage equality and contraception — unless we do something.
The American people have lost faith in the Supreme Court, and rightfully so – the majority of the justices serve the interests of the extreme right, not working people.
It's time to make sure our voices are represented on the court.
