[Sign the Petition] Justice Thomas’s actions must be investigated

We've learned that Ginni Thomas, Donald Trump devotee and the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, was directly involved with the planning of the January 6 attempted coup – including damning text messages to White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.

Nevertheless, Justice Thomas has refused to recuse himself from cases related to the January 6 insurrection.

It's not clear whether Justice Thomas thinks the American public doesn't deserve an impartial Supreme Court or he just doesn't care. Regardless, his wife's plot to overturn the election undermines our democracy, and his willingness to exploit the honor of the court to cover for her is simply unacceptable.

We need to know: just how deep do Justice Thomas's conflicts of interests in this case run? Demand Congress open up an investigation immediately.

The legitimacy of the Supreme Court depends in part on its justices not only respecting this nation's laws, but its people as well. And Justice Thomas's insistence that he could fairly rule on cases that directly implicated his wife is just plain ridiculous.

The truth – about Ginni Thomas, about the insurrection, and about the attempt to overthrow our government – needs to come out, whether Justice Thomas wants it to or not. And if he's using his role on the court to bury that truth, well, we deserve to know that as well.
