For our dad's birthday, please support his walk by donating to the food bank.

Today is our Dad's 62nd birthday. And this year — like he has done in the past— he will walk 43 miles (as part of Monte's March) to raise awareness about hunger and raise money for The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. We will join him for part of the walk to help him get to the finish line!

As you know, Dad has been passionate about ending hunger in this country; leading efforts in Washington to make sure that no one in America goes hungry. He is now working with President Biden on a White Conference on Food, Nutrition, Health and Hunger to develop a nationwide strategy to end hunger and nutrition insecurity. Needless to say, we are proud of his work.

We are writing to ask that you support his walk by donating to the food bank. It would mean the world to him — and us, too. Monte's March is Monday and Tuesday. The weather forecast predicts rain on Monday and possibly snow on Tuesday. Let's hope it's wrong. But no matter what , he's marching!
