We can do so much better
One week ago, our movement got a wake-up call, and if you're anything like me, it left a bitter taste in your mouth.
These elections. A few wins. A few losses. And a big warning sign, if Democrats know what to look for.
That taste? It's because we know in our hearts we can do so much better.
We've known for years that you don't win people over purely by being against something.
The American people are looking for us to overcome the obstructionism and ignorance that was rampant during the Trump administration. That's why they elected us in 2018 and 2020.
Last Friday, we made real headway by passing the largest infrastructure bill in our history. That bill will allow us to make billions in upgrades to our crumbling roads and bridges, modernize public transportation, upgrade the power grid, expand broadband access nationally, and reduce our carbon footprint – all while creating thousands of good-paying jobs.
And that's just the first step. Now, I'm focused on the fight for human infrastructure and support for working families just trying to get a fair shake .
It's important to keep pushing forward, and I won't back down an inch in these fights. But it's also important to stand up and say why these wins matter for our future.
I'm going to spend every ounce of myself in 2022 organizing and fighting for progressive solutions and progressive candidates. I know you'll be right there with me.
