What's next for our progressive agenda
I am a proud member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
What does that mean practically? It means I'm working each and every day to pass a bold, progressive agenda in the House, and to make sure it makes it through the Senate and is signed into law by President Biden.
Our plan for 2021 is detailed, and demands that our government deliver bold and equitable relief, and real opportunity for all people within the first 6 months of this year.
Our agenda includes a plan to take on COVID-19, putting people back to work, health care for all, protecting our democracy and voting rights, ensuring the wealthiest pay their fair share, working for long-overdue racial equity, and securing our elections.
But above all, we'll be fighting to make our government work for working families.
Congressional Republicans have made clear that they're going to go the other way, and will actually oppose every effort to make our country more fair, more just, and more equitable.
That's why we're making sure each and every person in our grassroots movement gets all the details and signs on as a citizen co-sponsor for our progressive agenda — because this is going to take a massive team effort.
