These final two races need our focus:
Mitch McConnell has a "graveyard" of progressive legislation in his office – bills supported by the majority of Americans and passed by the House, but that upset Mitch's billionaire buddies.
Election security measures. Health care reform. Civil rights. Privacy guarantees. Reproductive rights protections. Sensible gun safety reform.
When Donald Trump leaves office, do we want Mitch McConnell to still be obstructing our progressive agenda in the U.S. Senate?
Hell. No.
Stacey Abrams and her Fair Fight organization are on the front lines in Georgia right now. They're working with Democrats across the state to mobilize voters, protect their voting rights, and win these last two elections.
Because, while we're going to fight hard in 2021 no matter what, it will be a lot easier to move forward with progressive priorities if Democrats are in control of the U.S. Senate.
Normally, there are a lot of competing progressive political causes we have to consider.
Right now, however, it's time to focus. We must win these races, and that starts with people like us coming together and making sure the people on the ground have the funds to see this through to the end.
