Monte's March is back!
Even before COVID-19, America had a hunger problem. Sadly, the last nine months have created a hunger catastrophe. We've all seen the photos and heard the news stories – food pantries overwhelmed by crushing demand, schools struggling to keep students fed, and an inadequate federal response leaving too many families without enough to eat. Nearly 50 million of our fellow Americans aren't sure where their next meal is going to come from – a dramatic increase from just a few years ago.
That's why in two weeks, I'll once again take part in "Monte's March"— a 43 mile walk to raise awareness about hunger and raise money for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. And I'm asking for your help!
During this time of crisis and uncertainty, all of us have a responsibility to make sure our neighbors have enough to eat. That is why I am asking for you to make a contribution to support this year's walk. Last year, we raised enough money to provide over a million meals to families across our region! This year, the need is even greater. Any donation will help put food on the table and help families get back on their feet during this difficult time.
We live in the richest country in the history of the world. It is a national embarrassment that 50 million Americans don't know where their next meal is coming from. With your help, we can and will do better.
Please donate to support my efforts to End Hunger Now!
Best always and be safe,
