Trump nominated acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf to take on the role full-time. Just like every other person he's nominated, this guy is a disaster. I hope you'll take a moment today to sign my petition calling on the Senate to reject the nomination.

As acting Secretary, Wolf has a terrible record. For example:

• Immigration

  • Enforced racist and inhumane family separations,
  • Directly ignored the Supreme Court ruling to protect Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients,
  • Lied under oath.

• Civil Rights

  • Ordered federal law enforcement to target peaceful protesters in Portland, Oregon,
  • Following the death of George Floyd, deployed unmarked forces that snatched peaceful protestors off of the streets in multiple cities without cause, violating their constitutional rights.
