The Affordable Care Act is on Trump's chopping block
Imagine if we put as much effort into health care innovation and education as the Republican Party puts into attacking the Affordable Care Act?
Increasing access to high-quality, affordable health care for students, families, and small businesses has been a game-changer. But Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans are trying to take Americans' health care away and go back to the time when big insurance companies called the shots.

During my time in Congress, I've worked to:
- prohibit insurance companies from penalizing patients with pre-existing conditions by denying coverage or raising premiums;
- improve Medicate benefits and prescription drug coverage;
- allow young people to remain on their parents' health insurance plans until age 26;
- extend coverage for the uninsured;
- cut health care costs for small businesses;
- spur investment in emerging technologies, like genetic disease research and advanced prostheses for our veterans.
The Trump administration is now moving to strike down the Affordable Care Act in its entirety. This move is about money, about maximizing insurance industry profits by denying care to the sick and vulnerable.

The Republican war on the Affordable Care Act is dangerous and cruel. And Trump has no plan to care for the people whose lives they're gambling with.
