hot take: Republicans
Hear me out. There's one thing we could learn from the Republican camp: when they commit to something, they really commit to it. Fundraising, for example:
Step 1: Solicit campaign contributions in exchange for favors from special interests.
Step 2: Ignore science, reason, data, the requests of their constituents to prioritize that corporate PAC's agenda.
Step 3: Profit.
We're committing with that same enthusiasm to 2020 – just with a wildly different approach. We are running a people-powered campaign to protect our control of the House, to help Senate-hopefuls flip seats, and most importantly – create a one-term President out of Trump.
Step 1: Set ambitious goals early on in the cycle – like 500 grassroots contributions by March 31.
Step 2: Prioritize scientists, experts, and most importantly: the American people.
Step 3: Make sound, progressive policy.
Make an easy commitment right now: chip in now.
It's vital that we stand together.
