an opportunity to put a check on Trump's gift to corporations
Back in 2017, my office phones wouldn't stop ringing. My inbox filled up faster than I could respond. Nearly every single person that contacted us told my office that they wanted us to protect net neutrality.
The FCC failed the American people, and everyone was rightly furious.
It was an outrageous move by Trump's FCC to undo Obama-era safeguards and provide a beautifully-wrapped gift to big telecom companies and internet service providers.
Ending net neutrality hurt the middle-class and working Americans. It was a step back for our economy – simply for the benefit of major corporations like cable and internet service providers.
Americans want a free and open internet. It's a cornerstone of our society and allows for massive innovation and job creation. And today, the House has the opportunity to restore net neutrality.
Holding the Trump administration accountable ranges from indictments and hearings to reviewing and revising many of the policies implemented in the last two years.
