Legal discrimination

Right now we have an opportunity and the tools to begin undoing the discriminatory policies implemented by the Trump Administration.

One of our first priorities? Addressing discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Sign my petition and tell Congress: Protect LGBTQIA+ Americans – NOW.

While federal law protects people from discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, ability, and veteran status – there are no laws protecting LGBTQIA+ community members.

That means LGBTQIA+ Americans are threatened by unjust firings, evictions, and other discrimination without any legal recourse.

And last year, the Trump Administration peeled away the already-limited protections that existed – replacing them with harmful policies that further alienate and marginalize Americans.

Join me in calling upon my colleagues in Congress to protect the LGBTQIA+ community from discrimination.

It's time for policies we can take pride in.
