HRC endorsement means the world to me
Great news! The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) has endorsed my candidacy. HRC is the nation's largest LGBTQ+ civil rights organization and their work has been vital to turning out pro-equality voters.
I've worked closely with the HRC to end discrimination, defend marriage equality, and uphold laws protecting the LGBTQ+ community.
As allies, it is critical that we keep a check on agendas of hate and bigotry. The Trump-Pence Administration has accelerated our vigilance. We must work together to protect the progress we've made, and continue building a better future. Our shared vision is to create a world where all people are embraced at home, at work, and in every community.
Even here in Massachusetts, there's a petition on the ballot in November that will roll back transgender protections and candidates like Scott Lively (who thankfully lost his bid for Governor) espousing a platform of hate. Gaining the endorsement of the Human Rights Campaign means the world to me – and I am ready to fight fiercely alongside them.
See you there!
Jim
