History repeating itself
Social Security has given American seniors the ability to retire with dignity for more than eight decades.
Yet Republican lawmakers are plotting to undermine Social Security's promise to current beneficiaries and to future generations.
Republicans tried to privatize Social Security the last time they had the White House and the majority. I remember that fight well. Democrats had to work hard to protect this vital safety net program.
Right now, the surest way to protect Social Security is to take back the House in November.
And then we'll have the opportunity not just to protect Social Security but to make it better by doing things like increasing the benefit and providing more generous cost-of-living adjustments.
But we need your help to do that.
Chip in to protect Social Security.
