America is founded on the principle that if you work hard and play by the rules, you'll have enough to get ahead.

A college degree is supposed to be a gateway to economic opportunity and a chance at the American dream. But for too many Americans, for-profit student loan corporations and the Republicans in Congress have rigged the system against them, leaving them drowning in debt and unable to invest in their future.

More than 43 million Americans have student loan debt totaling $1.4 trillion. Now, the Trump administration is making it even harder for students to afford a college degree.

It's time to take action – demand Congress address student loan debt!

Trump and Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos have delayed implementing rules that would protect student loan borrowers from predatory for-profit colleges (like Trump University). At the same time, they've increased interest rates on student loans, adding to the existing mountain of debt that college students face.

We should be making access to college more affordable for students, not burdening future generations with ever-increasing debt. Student loan debt affects our entire economy by preventing recent graduates from starting a family, buying a home, or having a little extra for savings.
