Under siege? By Who?

Are you seeing the news out of Portland, Oregon? The Trump administration sent the Department of Homeland Security's paramilitary federal agents to quell nearly 60 days of protests on police brutality and violent racism.

I cannot imagine watching the Black Lives Matter protests, and deciding that our communities need more police brutality. But that's just what they've done.

This week, federal agents have attacked protestors and grabbed people off the streets into unmarked vans and detained them.

We do not need paramilitary troops in our streets. Protestors across the country have come together to improve their communities – and in this country, they have a right to do so.

I'm standing with Oregon's Congressional leadership and Attorney General, along with other members of Congress and activism organizations to fight back. Sign our petition and tell Trump: authoritarianism has no place in the United States.
