Tell Trump: Protect our public lands!

National Monuments protect our country's most cherished environmental, cultural, and historic wonders.

Since Teddy Roosevelt signed the Antiquities Act into law in 1906, 16 Presidents—8 Republican and 8 Democrats—have established national monuments through Presidential Proclamation, and in that time not one President has attempted to revoke a National Monument – until now.

Donald Trump and Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke have launched a “review” of America's National Monuments, threatening to rescind monument designations and allow oil and gas exploration, logging, and mining on our public lands. At risk are lands ranging from the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument off the Massachusetts coast, to the Giant Sequoia National Monument in California.

This is unconscionable. These sites are a part of our national heritage that we should be protecting for our children and future generations. Submit your comment now to the Department of the Interior telling them to protect our National Monuments!

The good news is that there is still time to take action to protect our national monuments. The Department of the Interior is taking public comments through this Monday, and millions of Americans are speaking out in defense of our public lands.

Let's show Zinke and Trump that we won't back down: submit your comment now in defense of our National Monuments!
