They should be ashamed
I’m ashamed of what my Republican colleagues did on the floor of the House last week.
They voted to take away coverage from 24 million Americans.
They voted to slash Medicaid funding so they could give bigger tax cuts to their wealthy friends.
They voted to allow insurance companies to deny people coverage with pre-existing conditions.
And then they lied about it.
They lied to the American people that this bill will actually protect us when we get sick, in those moments of scary uncertainty, when our loved one awaits a diagnosis, when we are welcoming a child into the world.
The Republicans’ bill does none of that. The Affordable Care Act wasn’t perfect, but I believe in fighting to make health care more affordable, not taking away health care from millions.
Help me spread the word: Share my take on health care with your friends and join me in fighting for our health care!
